    Abstract: The objectives of this study were to estimate distribution, abundance and habitat associations of the Wood River sculpin. We evaluated reports of historic and contemporary detections of Wood River sculpin and estimated electrofishing sampling efficiency. We examined habitat associations between Wood River sculpin detections and relative abundance. Based on these findings, we formulated a predictive model of sculpin occurrence and suggest sediment and temperature targets based on relative abundance. Third, we are evaluating vulnerability of the Wood River sculpin based on occurrence probability predicted by our model, road density, land stewardship and presence of water quality limited stream segments. Finally, we conducted a pilot study examining the feasibility of tracking sculpins tagged with PIT tags as a precursor to a study of Wood River sculpin movement. A total of 166 stream reaches were monitored during the summers of 2004 and 2006 to document Wood River sculpin occurrences and assess habitat. Habitat and fish data were collected in each stream reach. Information from this study will be made available to inform land and water use decisions within drainages occupied by Wood River sculpin.
